The trusted leader in training for over 25 years.
Over the last 25 years Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, Inc has customized and conducted training programs for over 100,000 law enforcement officers throughout North America. This class ties the interpretation of verbal and physical behavior into a structured approach of interview and interrogation.
The purpose of the WZ Seminar on Non-Confrontational Interview and Interrogation is to focus on those aspects of interview and interrogation which will prove most useful in the investigative process. For the new investigator, it will form the basis for growth by providing a structured format that can be used as the investigator gains experience.
WZ’s unique non-accusatory technique is a softer, conversational approach that results in an admission (or multiple admissions) without the investigator ever having to make direct accusations. The non-confrontational approach reduces denials and objections, and is also more appropriate for interviewers who are eliciting actionable information rather than seeking a confession.
The W-Z Non-Confrontational Method has proven to be of significant value in educing, or drawing out, information from suspects and sources. In many cases, the interrogation subject can be engaged in such a manger that he or she reveals information without being aware of giving away anything of value. This may be especially important in establishing rapport, opening conversation and maintaining interaction with a source that appears initially unwilling to provide information.
This two-day seminar is conducted by law enforcement professional from Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, Inc. All WZ instructors are Certified Forensic Interviewers (CFI® ) who teach the same up-to-date skills and methods they themselves have used during their own criminal investigations.
• Controlling the EnvironmentWZ is the recognized leader in the instruction of interview and interrogation techniques. This enhanced skills training program will increase your proficiency in a crucial area of your job.
