This interactive program looks at the common occurrence of a mysterious loss that could have numerous individuals responsible, with no clear-cut suspect. The program will take you through stages of the investigation, including gathering of information to the actual behavioral interviews to eliminate those not involved. Through these techniques you will learn how to identify the individuals responsible for these types of losses.
This sessions include gang identification through symbolism and self-admission as well as examination of the histories of the major criminal street gangs. Also presented are major cases that involved violent crime activity including homicides, drive-by shootings and narcotic trafficking. Gang documentation, investigative techniques, establishing criminal conspiracy cases, trends in criminal gang activity, court presentation and officer safety issues are also discussed.
This can be done in from a one hour presentation to a whole day presentation.
In this course the participants will learn to identify the early warnings signs of anger and hostility that generally escalate into assaultive behaviors. The course will review common communication barriers and identify stages of the verbal escalation continuum that are pre-cursors to violence.
Participants will gain an understanding of the impact of individual spacing, body language, verbal and paraverbal communication. The participants will gain verbal and non-verbal techniques that will enable them to diffuse potentially hostile individuals. These techniques when learned and practiced will enhance every individual’s ability to handle violent episodes with minimized anxiety and maximum safety. This training will enable you to prevent violence and maintain a professional relationship with your clients. The course culminates in the participant practicing a self-protective approach in response to verbal and physical aggression.
